Allegiance—A New American Musical, starring Tony winner Lea Salonga, George Takei and Telly Leung, will kick off the 2012-13 season at the Old Globe in San Diego. The production begins performances September 6 at the Donald and Darlene Shiley Stage in the Conrad Prebys Theatre Center. Allegiance features music and lyrics by Jay Kuo and a book by Kuo and Lorenzo Thione. Directed by Stafford Arima, Allegiance will play a limited engagement through October 21. The show had previously been aiming for a Broadway run in 2011.
